  •     The aim of dressage is for the horse and the athlete to reach perfect harmony with one-another while navigating the course. Horse and rider will alternate both free and mandatory movements, such as walk, trot, gallop and halt.
  •     It is one of the few events where men and women compete against each other.
  •     Free movement presents special choreographies for each horse and are followed by music. Seven judges assess each performance, giving points from 1 to 10. After being totalled-up, this score generates a percentage, and the rider or team with the highest rate is the winner.
